A Chautauqua on Lake Michigan
The Bay View Association of The United Methodist Church is a National Historic Landmark community founded in 1875. It is situated on 337 beautiful, terraced acres in the northwest portion of Michigan's Lower Peninsula overlooking Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan. Bay View is home to more than 30 public buildings, nearly 450 cottages and two inns.
Each summer its annual Assembly Program features music, worship, lectures and seminars, all open to the public. The associated Bay View Music Festival is nationally renowned and currently recognized as the longest reigning music festival in the United States.
